“Who Tells the Truth?” was created in response to listening to an acquaintance in a courtroom tell what I knew to be outright lies under oath. The piece has 3 layers of Plexiglas to it. The first layer has the word “truth” cut out of the Plexiglas and an antique compass (moral compass) and also a small vile of truth serum. The second layer has different sayings about truth and a poem by C.M. Judge. The last layer is covered with black and white faces, a bumper sticker saying “The truth has no agenda”, a black Holy Bible cover with a hand on it, a newspaper article and a Bible verse about truth.
